So I got a call from the computer technician. Good news: he would be able to recover data from the hard drive. Bad news: it's all +100GB of music and video and ROMs and scans; none of it is the important files from the pre-laptop-reformat I had lost way before the disk died (university stuff, important txt's, Photoshop goodies, things like bookmarks or Windows fonts). Worst news: it's for 50 euros.

Okay so. I'm not paying 50 fucking bucks for cat macros and fandom stuff I downloaded for free, and especially not near Christmas. I mean, God, sure, I can't recall everything I had lost, in particular the manga and the galleries. And I bet most torrents I got my stuff from must be dead already, so maybe I'm dooming myself, but... que será, será.

Let this be a lesson for all: just because your HDD is huge, doesn't mean you mustn't burn your multimedia shit on CD/DVD frequently.

At least the episodes and the music are more or less easy to save because I was quick. Before my attempts to recover my important data, I wrote down a list of my music/video folders. The CDs one was mostly a screencap of the first tree folders, instead of a list of albums. So I'm writing down the artists I didn't have a backup of so I can hunt for them and redownload them.

I mean, it's really awesome of you to offer or tell me what you've got ♥ But, um. I don't know, I feel kinda like I'm abusing and that I should hunt for these things on my own. *is too awkward about this sort of things*

I think I have all of Muse. Otherwise, I have a few OK Go songs and Abbey Road for Beatles, along with Beauty and the Beast. And I think I have Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo? Maybe?

Oh, don't worry ^^ I already found a Muse discography torrent that's working and since I've been leeching from it since yesterday it's almost done now :D From Beauty and the Beast I'd only need Human Again (I have the first OST CD since my childhood), and I probably have the OK Go songs already. The Beatles thing was just for roleplaying purposes: a previous pup of mine listened to classic British pop.

For the movies I should like, look for torrents because Megaupload with huge files hates me D:

I have a lot of Beatles music, Princess Tutu, Mushishi, U2, Fullmetal Alchemist, Suzumiya Haruhi Vocals, lots of One Piece (but sporadic from different albums). Let me know if you need any of this.

Ah, don't worry about it! I'll just hunt for it by my own. I'm not that interested in the Beatles, I bet my stepfather might have U2, and the FMA/SHnY/OP songs I had must be at Gendou anyway. But if I had issues getting the Tutu Konzerts or the Mushishi OST I'll let you know ^^
