BECAUSE MAMORU MIYANO IS LING. I can't get over that.

Okay, right, I've been saving up words from that "comment and I'll give you words to ramble about" meme like a squirrel. So it's time to gush.

[livejournal.com profile] colonize gave me The Legend of Zelda, Peony/Jade, Good Omens, Raine Sage, and Howl/Sophie )

[livejournal.com profile] telrunya gave me web pages, Ling, Tales of the Abyss, CLAMP, caparashon )

[livejournal.com profile] sha_chan gave me turtles, baddass colonels, Ace Attorney, sparkly blonds, snarky pairings )

I still have two sets to do. Will go with that tonight or tomorrow.

ETA: GIP.

Waaaah, Pluto, I'll miss you! ;_;

I wrote a Spanish Touya/Yukito fic today, and I had completely forgotten how easier it is to write in your own language. It's been so long since I've done it, I started plotting the lines in my head in English XD But after I turned that switch off, it went so nicely. You don't have to rack your brains so much, searching for a word or the most adequate translation you can think of. Because at least in my case, I find myself writing in some sort of English/Spanish mash (not Spanglish or Florida!latin!English; it's something weirder than that), in which you tend to mentally fill the holes with the language you're writing on. They tend to be loose words or particular fragments you can't find an easy way to say in your limited (or not) vocabulary.

But when you type in the language you learned to think in, it's so much better. You have less doubts. Sure, you have less readers as well, but what can you do.

ETA2: OMFG. Laurus wrote a Good Omens/CCS drabble. Win.

Have a nice Doomsday!

Har, what a date of doom. It amuses me.

And I'll leave a gratuitous Good Omens quote:

"Armageddon only happens once, you know. They don't let you go around again until you get it right."

The angel stared out at the rushing hedgerows.

"It all seems so peaceful," he said. "How do you think it will happen?"

"Well, thermonuclear extinction has always been very popular. Although I must say the big boys are being quite polite to each other at the moment."

"Asteroid strike?" said Aziraphale. "Quite the fashion these days, I understand. Strike into the Indian Ocean, great big cloud of dust and vapor, goodbye all higher life forms."

"Wow," said Crowley, taking care to exceed the speed limit. Every little bit helped.

"Doesn't bear thinking about it, does it," said Aziraphale gloomily.

"All the higher life forms scythed away, just like that."

"Terrible."

"Nothing but dust and fundamentalists."

"That was nasty."

"Sorry. Couldn't resist it."

I wish I had a GO icon. I've been looking for a good one, but none of them convinced me enough. And I'm too lazy to do graphics today.

More like this morning, but whatever. Oh, and by the way, does anyone knows why in hell EVERY English-speaking XXXHOLiC website but mine is a dead link at the moment? And the Wikipedia is dead, too. WTF Internet.

Thoughts and frustrations on 'Good Omens'; not actual spoilers )
