Manga goodness
May. 28th, 2007 11:25 pmWhy yes, I spent 40€ on manga today. I was really behind in some of my collections, so I took a chance to go before the Final Exam of Doom approached.
So:
1.- XXXHOLiC #9 ♥
2.- Matantei Loki #6 and 7 (now off to wait for MaLoki Ragnarok!)
3.- Fruits Basket #15 and 16
(1) had the yumekai, which is adorable, and the first appearances of grandpa Haruka and Kohane-chan. So much coolness. (2) was at its usual, although Freyr pretty much stole the spotlight for most of the two volumes XDDDD (although Utgard Loki surely made a strong impression for such a short appearance) But pretty much everyone was amusing. (3) Had the Cinderella-ish play which is the win, and my OTP annoying teenagers at school, and lots of Yuki, and lots of Machi, and Yuki/Machi, and even some cute Kyouru too.
What else... I finished reading Sailor Moon. It doesn't drag without monster-of-the-week crap -but I was waiting for that considering how CCS is-, so I could follow it easily except for the Stars arc (which makes me want to hit my head against the desk because I couldn't get it... maybe I need to reread it? except I'm not looking forward to that since it's the only arc I didn't like). I'm surprised I stopped disliking characters I used to loathe in the anime. I'm surprised I'm no longer squicked by the pegasus crap (probably they handled it creepy in the anime?) because I was actually sort of rooting forChibiusa cutting the Elektra complex already, ugh Jesus Helios/Chibiusa as there was next to none furry badtouching (the fact she crushed on him after he showed his true human form helped a LOT, mind you). And the circus thing was not as boring, and thank God the animal-eye baddies were a one-show thing. Dunno, it just reads better, that whole arc. So did the Saturn arc, actually.
Yeah, I still ship the cats! I think it's cute how Artemis is always the one reaching Luna during those rare tender moments.
