I see a trend in my fandoms

outou pointed me out that Pixiv is an effective place for spoilers. On one hand, now I know what I wanted to know. Good, it's not the worst option! It gives me more questions, but they're new questions at least! On the other, now I know the particulars of the thing I vaguely heard they were going to pull, and I think I didn't want to know about that one. The implications of both facts is very D: to the point it's eclipsing my distrust of the game itself with just... staring at angsty fanarts of Japanese fanon forever. Like Waka didn't have enough of those already.

So I guess I'll have to pull my big girl panties and...

I don't know about everyone else, but I teared up at every death in that game. It's a testament to the original team's writers that they were able to make the players care that much, which makes the new team's comment on the deaths being "minor" something of an insult.

It is insulting. This is the original quote:

"Okami had several key people die during the story, but none of them were characters the player would get very emotional about."

I suspect they don't have a heart. I thought every death was sad. It says a lot that a minute before he vanishes, I was sick and tired of Tobi's trials and I wanted to physically crump him, but then he goes and gives that speech and I FELT SO, SO BAD FOR HIM :(

Not to mention Queen Himiko's sudden and shocking death, and the Emperor falling majestically into the depths of the sea, and poor Rao having been murdered all along, and Waka seemingly getting killed by Yami, and...

Like ayasugi_san says, it's amazing how we never got to meet Rao and it's still sad. And King Wada, we only got to talk to him once after we destroyed him on the inside.
