ANYWAY. It was historical seinen manga tiemz a few days ago, but there's no huge novelty. Canute continues to troll England just as planned, got more confirmation about Hephaestion!Alexander, and Cesare is still sneaky and sexy.
And I went online shopping today, because there was bargain sale and free shipping in a Spanish DVD store.
→ Seirei no Moribito. They finally released a boxset, so now I'm more than happy to buy it. Individual volumes suck.
→ Neon Genesis Evangelion. Because I didn't have it and it was 25% off.
I also found a bargain on eBay, so I got Final Fantasy VI Advance at £16. Considering it's an out of print FF game, it's unbelievably cheap (local stores and buyers have it at over 60€!). I decided to go for it because now that I've played around for a while on an emulator, I'm sure I can handle the gameplay. And I think I'm obsessing a little bit over the Figaro brothers.
I have a couple of episodes left to finish the last case of Edgeworth's game. I've been procrastinating because this case never ends.

But because I'm a magpie with sun in Gemini, instead of taking action games I have began, I picked new oldies that I got/downloaded/borrowed a while ago and never tried. I have gathered so many PS2 games I don't know which ones to play, really.
1. I remembered I downloaded the Prince of Persia Trilogy compilation, and jumped at Sands of Time. This was sweet! Frustrating sweet but hey, what are platforms without falling and swearing a lot? What I didn't love was when I got stuck in a room, not because I had nowhere to jump, but because it was massive respawning enemy showdown.
Some zombie whores killed me. Repeatedly.
2. Fuck this shit, I'll go with God of War I. May I remind you that I bought a second-hand copy which didn't stop loading before the first miniboss. Well, I got it changed, and on that day I played up till the Hydra. I retook it today and got until the port of Athens.
...It got stuck on loading again! I swear, there's someone who doesn't want me to play this! Is it ARES himself?! IS IT BECAUSE I SAID YOU SCREAMED LIKE A SISSY IN THE ILIAD?! I'M NOT TAKING IT BACK. DOUCHEBAG.
3. Screw hack 'n slash. Let's see what Beyond Good and Evil is all about. I still haven't got to the plot yet, but I'm truly digging it so far! I can't exactly say why I liked it yet, though. Sadly I wasn't in the mood at the moment, so I'm saving it for another day.
4. Later in the evening I wanted something slow and even more (more?!) retro, so I fetched my SNES emulator for pixel RPG. I remembered how I got stuck stupidly in the first few minutes of Final Fantasy VI (or III, whatever). I was all "eh, why not", and popped it in. I survived an hour, which is impressive.
No, you know what's impressive? Me liking the characters so far. IN A FINAL FANTASY GAME.
...Edgar is so my kind of character ♥ With only half an hour of knowing him, I know that much.

And I can't believe how much the system annoys me. I'm normally running like a headless chicken during the fights, in useless hopes to dodge attacks while the bar fills up. Also, the whole license thing is just made of lame. So... I could get over techniques/spells being acquired like this, since it's normal in FF. But you can't equip a fucking item until you've gotten the license to wear it? So even if you buy it, you have to wait until you get enough LP to buy the license. Oh, wait a sec, I just remembered you have to buy the techs and spells as well with money AND LP. That is so, so not on; then fuck it, the whole thing.
Why must all FF games develop new, strange ways for you to get abilities in every single game? You know what, I'll stick to Tales games for a while, because I seriously lack the patience for this shit. I like winning my mad skillz by level up and sidequests, without angsting when I used my speshul snowflake points/tokens/spheres in the wrong branch of the ability tree.

Because that's the story of my life. Not happy with my new-found love for Good Omens, I had to go and read with no reason... the first series of Saiyuki. Finished volume 9 last night.

b) Downloading XXXHOLiC raws every week so I can screencap the episodes.
c) Scanning the Mokona Modoki book. However, I think this will have to wait till the end of February. Finals, you know.
By the way, I think I finally came up with a solution regarding certain issue with certain plotlines at the Tomoeda_Drama RP. Everything clicks better than the deus ex machina plan. Nobody's going to die/disappear except Clow, nobody's going to lose magic except Clow, nobody's going to live forever. However, the problem is convincing the Avatar that doing this is the best thing to do, and making it credible... Ugh.
Oh, and I've been playing Final Fantasy VII these dayswhen I should've been working on that paper. I think Advent Children did corrupt my mind, because whenever I find myself with Turks or Rufus Shinra, I go "OMG squee!" I really do have an issue here.
In the end, I got tired of going around the stupid forest looking for Yuffie and went to the harvor instead. It didn't help that those root-monsters kept pwning me every time, so I had to use the Mog-Chocobo summon materia to get rid of them with one shot. I hate those things. They always come in groups of five.
Status of my party: I have Cloud, Barret, Tifa, Aeris and Red XIII. I try to rotate them so they all level up more or less the same, but I like the Cloud-Tifa-Red tandem the best so far.
I thought I was going to hate or be annoyed by Aeris, but I didn't O.o

This weekend, I played a bit of Final Fantasy X. I hooked my brothers to the FF saga, so Ale decided to buy it, as it's platinum and it's so cheap. It's better than I though, actually. I rather prefer their battle style better than the other ones I've played. I found Yuna so damn boring and annoying. I think I liked this opening more than the previous one. Serious Shinigami love! <3 Seeing characters like Shunsui, Ukitate, Byakuya or Yoruichi posing and/or fighting was so awesome in so many levels. And the first half minute! ALL the important shinigami, dude, (vice)captains or not.
I'm so dorky because I was excited because my crack OTP was one after the other... Which is logical, as they're in the same division and all... But still! The music made a long pause of at least half a second on the transition from Isane to Hanatarou. Color me nuts.
Apart from the rocking hollow!Ichigo thing, has anyone noticed that Aizen's face was more on the shadows than it should be? Dun dun dun!
Oh, and, deus ex machina!Ishida in the OP was teh smex!!! <3

I blame it on Square Enix and making Reno so cute and arrogantly dork on Advent Children. Bastards. Now I need to play the game.
I'll borrow my brother's PSone on the meantime, I think. I'll perhaps need a memory card...
But it's not the only good thing sucking my money right now. I'm getting the XXXHOLiC Movie Fanbook. Wee!if the stupid seller sends me his Paypal email so Setsuka can pay it ¬¬...
