Ahahaha, finally! Was kicked out of clamp_lims with the whooping mark of -9. Well, about time, I think I was the contest's cockroach, only saved by people "sucking" more than me (apparently) every week. It wasn't about being good, even if I stood for six weeks: it was ninja survival. And mind you, it wasn't even good for the ego. During all those weeks, can you guess how many favorites I got? One. ONE. Sure, it doesn't mean my icons were that disliked (until this week, that is XD), just that they didn't call anyone's attention ever (except for votes off; I got plenty of those, like 3-4 a week in average).

I think I'm taking a break from LIMS (yeah, I know I've only been in this one once, but whatever). Oh, I'm not offended or OMG IM LEAVIN U GUYZ. I just think that I was kind of right and I have no place in this kind of event. Some iconmakers just aren't the kind of stuff that LIMS voters like, and maybe this is karma's way to tell me to stick to normal icontests and quirky icon batches. And I don't work well under pressure or catering to more popular styles.

But since the universe likes balance, someone on a comm was asking last night about my Fye icon with the Good Omens quote. It made me smile and feel better about sucking at icontests. And wonder if I'll be permanently famous for that icon and the manjuu!Mokona. Oh lawl.

By the way, my BSPlayer sucks balls. I spent some solid five minutes screencapping CiW2 hardcore (I hadn't even got past the HOLiC part, because it would be cool shit to have a lot for K.net), and when I went to the folder to delete an accidental cap... all of them but the first two or something were pitch black. The 220-something of them.

Then I figured out that it just happened when I put pause and went frame to frame. Which is bullshit because I've done that millions of times and it never happened to me. I wonder if I should consider to change my screencapping software? I still don't know WTF happened today. My guts tell me it could be a buffer thing, but it might be because we're seeing buffer caches on OS2 classes right now.

I was actually satisfied with WW's ending, even if a bit cheesy. It fits the game, and Tetra went back to be a pirate! Also, is it me, or is this the Zelda game with the most plausible Zelda/Link for post-canon?
6. That there was wank over Zero Punctuation game videoreviews. I find them hilarious.
7. My new MP3 player.
8. Reading a new book. Pyramids is going good so far.
9. Speaking of which, Laurus' crossover with the Lancre witches and Clow Reed :D I can't search for the link now, but it was hilarious.
A. Watching Futurama in English. Tied with playing We Love Katamari, because both are good crack. ETA: Changed my mind! I'll choose "More Mononoke subbed" for $100, Alec.

Oh well. It was fun while it lasted. Hopefully, there'll be AUs and pre-or-post-marriage fics around. I still found the chat nice enough, since it validated some guesses I had made about plotholes, and solved a couple of doubts I and other people had.

Still, goddammit! Why do you go and admit N/L was cute and made sense, and then you give Luna a random future husband?! That's toying with my feelings, Jo. And on Neville's birthday, too.

Anyway! Even if I'm not talking about Avatar in this post, I wanted to GIP this Teo-in-a-tank icon :D Because I can't wait till September.

1. Favorite CCS card!?
...One? I like the elementals, although especially The Watery and The Firey because they're like pissed off fairies. I like The Light and The Dark, but they have so many fans it turns me off. For the anime-only, I loved The Create.

2. How'd you come up with your username?
I actually didn't :P Ame warashi is a character from XXXHOLiC, the rain spirit (see icon). I wanted to rename a while ago, so I thought of cool fandom names, and I remembered her. She's my kind of character. Besides, my nickname is written with the kanji of rain and means drizzle. It was adequate.

3. Favorite Mushishi story?
That's a mean question D: I love several. Like the traveling swamp, the guy who chased rainbows, the bamboo family, the one with the boy who slept through winters, the painter who moved to the city, the blind girl, Tanyuu's story... but I like most of them.

4. If you were to be turned into a stuffed animal, what kind would you want to be?
The first gut reaction is being my penguin plushie. He's all velveteen and soft :3

5. Would you rather have a mohawk, pompadour, or afro?
O_o Honestly, none. They all need awful amounts of hair gel, and I loathe using that shit. I'm too low maintenance when it comes to hair. I procrastinate over combing. Besides, they'd look awful on me.

1. Favorite CLAMP series?
XXXHOLiC, actually XD I've been here in the fandom right since the series started in Japan. I've been here before the crossovers. I've been here before there was buttsecks subfandom. I'm like the fandom's cockroach. But regardless of the fandom, I love the series' premise and the paranormality of it all.
I'm pretty attached to CCS because it was my first CLAMP fandom, and I'm still writing for it. But since it's in HOLiCverse, sometimes I can get away with it and say they're the same canon :D ILU crossover precanon metastories~

2. What kind of music do you like?
I guess you could say I'm into rock, because that's what I listen to the most. I don't like a particular subgenre of it: a little bit of everything, including oldies and new stuff. I like some pop, but not the moronic mainstream kind. Still, I probably like loose songs in other genres, unless I really loathe it.
I listen more to music in English. Most music in Spanish, my native language, is boring pop and/or Latin-styled (I hate salsa and reggaeton), do it's not my kind of thing.

Sometimes. One day I'm in the mood for chocolates or cookies, the next I want chips or Doritos or anything salty. I don't like cake that much, though.

Buying a new manga of a series I adore, or watching/reading/hearing something funny, or a package of something I imported or bought online arriving, or raw scans of mangas (especially FMA) getting out. Some cute animals. Dunno, lots of weird stuff. I think this shows I have no life.

1. No llevo ni la cuarta parte de mi tabla Touya/Yukito para 30 Vicios, y ya me pedí un segundo claim. Así que apuré mi quinto fic para poder optar por otra tabla. (La segunda, que la de las leyes de Murphy la veo muy cruda para cualquier personaje o pairing que me gusta a no ser que fuese Watanuki, porque jo-der, no pega ni una!) Supongo que necesito un respiro del azúcar que supone el pairing, y así ir alternando. Y claro, qué es lo contrario a fluffy gay? Snarky het!
